WORTH THINKING ABOUT

The design-center offer

Bring your ideas to Cornelius. Explore a custom pool, spa, turf and landscape together, with your property, priorities and investment range guiding the plan.

01

What would make you use the backyard more?

It is a more useful opening question than “What shape pool do you want?” You might want room for the family to swim while friends sit nearby. You might want a spa you can reach easily on a quiet evening. Or you might want to replace a patchwork of unused areas with a yard that finally makes sense.

Patriot’s pool and outdoor-living services connect those goals. Explore the individual guides below to understand the choices behind the water, surrounding surfaces and landscape. Each decision affects the others, so the whole-yard conversation starts early.

02

See how the details work together.

The photographs on this site come from Patriot’s own website gallery. Look at how a spa meets the pool, how steps connect different levels and how green space sits beside the deck. Use the images to identify features you like. Your own design should respond to your property and the way you will use it.

At the design center, bring your inspiration, available property information and your three priorities. The next step is to establish the design scope and what still needs to be learned about the site. Deliverables, pricing and scheduling are specific to the agreed project.

03

Start small enough to make a clear decision.

The discovery call is a 20-minute conversation about your project and location. It helps establish whether the work is a fit and what information would make a design consultation useful. You can share a budget range or ask for help understanding the options.

You do not need a finished plan to begin. You do need a place to discuss the real tradeoffs, from the size of the swimming area to the room left for the rest of your life outside.

01

Custom Pool Design

Kids in the water. Dinner outside. A quiet seat where you can see it all. Tell us what a good day at home looks like, and let’s design the space around it.

02

Inground Pool Construction

A successful build begins long before excavation. Understand the decisions, dependencies and details that turn a backyard design into a usable outdoor space.

03

Custom Spas

A custom spa changes the way you use the backyard. Plan the seating, warmth, view and walk from the house with the same care you give the pool.

04

Pool Decking and Pavers

The deck is where you pull up a chair, set down a towel and gather after a swim. Allow enough space for furniture and movement, and choose finishes that suit the way you use it.

05

Poolside Artificial Turf

Artificial turf can frame the pool, connect stepping stones and create a place to play. The right result starts with the use of the space and the preparation beneath it.

06

Outdoor Living and Landscaping

A pool draws you outside. Thoughtful planting, comfortable gathering places and clear connections give you reasons to stay.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Good questions.
Useful answers.

The details that help you choose your next step.

Can you coordinate the pool and landscaping?

Yes. Our design center helps plan pools, spas, turf, decking and landscaping together so the finished space works as a whole.

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

No. Bring your ideas, inspiration photos and the ways you hope to use the yard. We can begin with your priorities.

What is usually the most expensive part of a new pool project?

There is no single answer for every property. The pool structure and equipment are substantial, but difficult access, changes in elevation and a large surrounding patio can reshape the budget. Compare proposals with the same site work and finished-yard scope included.

How much yard should I keep outside the pool?

Start with a furniture layout and the activities you want to keep: grilling, playing, gardening or walking the dog. Draw those spaces alongside the water. A larger pool is only an improvement if the remaining yard still works for your household.

Can we build the pool now and finish the landscaping later?

Discuss phasing before design is finalized. Access for later work, finished elevations and connections between surfaces can affect the first stage. Ask the proposal to show what is built now, what is prepared for later and what would need to be disturbed again.

What should I look for when comparing pool quotes?

Compare the drawings and written scope, not just the total. Check the equipment, decking allowance, site assumptions, exclusions, approval responsibilities and payment stages. Ask how changes will be documented and what each stated warranty actually covers.
